Chicago Ideas Week - 2011

Jeff Nelson, US Empowered Co-Founder & CEO, was named one of five Bluhm/Helfand Fellows at the inaugural Chicago Ideas Week in October 2011. As a Fellow, he was invited to present as part of the kick-off session CIW Talk: Social Entrepreneurship with Governor Quinn, Mayor Daley and Brad Keywell. In addition, US Empowered was featured as part of the CIW Talk: Education featuring retired U.S. Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O'Connor and CNN anchor Soledad O'Brien.
