Dominique, Class of 2015

Since joining US Empowered in the fall of 2009, Dominique has made incredible personal and academic strides. Before US Empowered, Dominique acknowledges that she was an average student. "I knew that I was capable of more, but I needed the support and motivation that US Empowered gives me." Now she is more focused on her schoolwork than ever before. 

Dominique demonstrates her US Empowered commitment by maintaining 100% attendance rate at US Empowered, earning an average session outcome of 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, and raising her GPA by 1.05 points in one semester. As Dominique says, "US Empowered has given me the courage to become a better person and take control of the life I want." Next fall, Dominique looks forward to applying to schools such as the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Northwestern University, and the University of Illinois at Chicago. She plans to major in architecture and business, and one day own her own architecture firm.
