Nominate an Exceptional Teacher to be an US Empowered Program Director
US Empowered identifies and trains highly effective teachers to lead students attending non-selective high schools in low-income communities to enroll in and graduate from college. In fact, exceptional teachers (known as Program Directors, or PDs) are the key drivers of the US Empowered movement. We partner with teachers who work in schools across the city who develop a culture of rigorous expectations for their students, and who work tenaciously to ensure student success in college. In addition, US Empowered PDs form a unique collaborative of talented individuals who support each other and share best practices to help our Fellows achieve their goals.
It is through exceptional teachers that US Empowered partners with schools and expands our program to serve more students. To this end, we rely on the recommendations of partners, current PDs, school leaders and individuals to identify the most talented teachers working in Chicago schools. We need your help! Please submit the form below to nominate an exceptional teacher you know. Please note that we accept self-nominations as well.
